I’m a masters rower (started in 1996) and a software developer. In 2007, I left my job at Microsoft to work on mobile applications for rowing. In 2009, I released SpeedCoach Mobile, which was the first rowing app for the iPhone. Since then, I’ve continued adding features to the app, developed a version for Android, and renamed the app to “CrewNerd” in 2014. I returned to Microsoft in 2010 and worked there until 2017. I’m now the CTO of Blue Canoe Learning, but I continue to work on CrewNerd in my spare time.
