Leaping Fish is a family business which began with a desire to provide environmentally-friendly products to help serious and not-so-serious sportsmen and women who want to enjoy their activities without damaging their world.

Barnaby Quaddy, founder of Leaping Fish, started the business when, as a rower, he struggled to find a UK-made natural anti-chafing solution to help prevent friction sores and blisters during endurance events, competitive racing and training, and so developed the Rowers Rub.

First used with fixed seat Cornish Pilot Gigs and now rowed regularly at the World Pilot Gig Championships, Newquay County Championships, the 21 ½ mile Great River Race (London), the Castle to Crane (Glasgow) and taken by crews to the An Ras Mor in Cork, Ireland as well as the Traversee de Paris. A Talisker Whiskey Trans Atlantic crew used it during their 3500 mile crossing with great success, and it has been used in Europe and the USA.

Following from the success of Rowers Rub, Leaping Fish has developed one of the largest ranges of products tailored to specific sports and activity events, including a Rowers Hand Rub to help skin recover after exercise. The products contain only natural ingredients and where possible are vegan for a sustainable future, and are produced in Dorset in the UK.

Leaping Fish has moved to aluminium containers for our new and re-packaged products to reduce our use of plastics and our impact on the environment.
