Whitney has been coxing men’s teams for about 14 years. She started coxing at the famed two-year Orange Coast college & went on to cox for clubs all over the US like California Rowing Club, PennAC, LMU, River City, and more. She went to film school at LMU & now works as a TV correspondent & media producer. Meanwhile, she started putting her own composite crews together, which lead to the inception of the club she founded and manages: 7Seas Rowing Club. Made up of international men from various national teams and clubs, they won their first race on the international stage at Holland Beker with 14 countries represented in the crews. She’s also a member of Leander Club and spent the last year racing and training with them in the U.K. and Europe with sights on the Olympics.
